On Thursday, February 20, 2020 Champions for Philanthropy partnered with Relate Social Capital and George Washington University Sports Philanthropy Executive Certificate Program to present the inaugural Sport Philanthropy Summit. The event, which took place on the GWU campus in Washington, D.C, brought together individuals from across sectors who are dedicated to the the advancement of the sport philanthropy industry through thought-provoking, and critical analysis of using sport for good. The summit featured three sessions: What is Sport Philanthropy?, Finding Ways to Generate Revenue, and Sport Philanthropy Through Different Lenses. Panelists explored the various streams of sport philanthropy and provided in-depth, thought-provoking conversations about social change and how to continue to advance the field.
